ENOUGH, ENOUGH, ENOUGH.
Here’s a YouTube video someone posted of what happened during the last 20 minutes of a recent screening of Hugo at the Regal Union Square in New York City. It’s a train wreck that speaks for itself.
They have a WONDERFUL staff at that theater, but this kind of thing happens far too much everywhere. I know this is a nerdy thing to rant about, but film presentation is IMPORTANT and should be treated with more care than the multiplexes give it these days. Digital projection or not, put someone in the goddamn booth to watch the film.
A ticket to this costs you $18.
I’d be pissed as a filmmaker and as a theatre goer.

Correct. Id rather miss 3/4 of the movie complaining about something like this than to actually sit through it. Thank goodness my local movie theater is next to an actual movie studio. Shit like that never EVER happens there.
